• Kids Weaving Workshop •
This workshop is designed for a parent/guardian to come with the child/children and help them learn these beginners skills. It is an amazing way to bond and be creative with you kids!
A two hour workshop, giving you all enough time to get comfortable and enjoy the mindful process of weaving.
Each child will be given a cardboard loom with a plastic tapestry needle for future creations. They will learn how to make these cardboard looms so they can make any size they want + yarn will be supplied on the day.
Weaving is a joyful and peaceful process where meditation and intuition can be woven into the beautiful, unique textures of each persons creation.
The process of weaving and creating allows movement and change, but also stillness when required. This is a great developmental process for children = busy hands: quiet minds!
Among the hands on practical skills that will be taught, there will be notes for parents to take home if they choose, on creating a calm space for children to be creative, using different techniques like aromatherapy and sounds + a safe space to be messy! There will also be notes on Meditation for children and Art therapy.
What the children take away: creating in mindfulness and bonding with their parent/guardian, the skill to make new cardboard looms, their own weaving project, and a child friendly plastic tapestry needle for future creations + yarn if they would like to continue their piece at home.
